In February 2023, I had the opportunity to design Antioch’s Facade Upgrade Program, a project that focused on revitalizing the appearance of local businesses and enhancing the overall aesthetic of our city’s commercial areas. Through this program, we offered financial assistance to business owners, helping them improve their storefronts with new signage, fresh paint, updated lighting, and other exterior enhancements.
My goal was to create a more welcoming and attractive environment that would draw more visitors and customers, ultimately boosting economic activity in Antioch. By collaborating with local businesses and stakeholders, I was able to see firsthand how these upgrades brought new life to our commercial districts, fostering a sense of pride and community spirit.
Looking back, the program was a rewarding experience that contributed to Antioch’s growth and vibrancy, creating a more dynamic and inviting atmosphere for everyone.
